We've made some upgrades recently, so, just to fill you in, here's a summary of the changes:

1. Two anti-spam plugins. Both work behind the scenes. The first you won't see at all: it's kind of a low-level filter to catch the really dumb bots, etc. It's our first line of defense. Second, there's a smarter filter system that will try and catch the more clever spammers. As a downside, it might catch some human comments too, especially if they're shorter comments. If that's the case, you'll be given a chance to prove your human and display your comment.
2. Wordpress bugfixes. Just staying on top of minor fixes.
3. Low-level tweaks. Basically, some server-level tweaks to stop bad bots from scraping our content for use on spam-farms. We're cool with people using our content (we're Creative Commons licensed after all), but we're not to keen on helping the spammers with their quest for Google rankings.

We've got some better stuff (i.e. non-boring) coming up too, so stay tuned.
